London Critics Circle Awards 2024 Winners Checklist – IndieWire

Hollywood blockbusters had been shut out on the forty fourth London Critics’ Circle Awards, as “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” each left empty handed whereas unbiased movies swept the highest classes. Jonathan Glazer’s Holocaust-set horror-drama received Movie of the 12 months, and Glazer was individually honored with Director of the 12 months as nicely. Celine Music’s 2023 Sundance hit “Previous Lives,” one other Greatest Image nominee, received International-Language Movie of the 12 months.

Most of the appearing classes had been dominated by Oscar frontrunners, as Emma Stone received Actress of the 12 months for “Poor Issues” and Da’Vine Pleasure Randolph received Supporting Actress of the 12 months for “The Holdovers.” Oscar nominees Justine Triet and Arthur Harari shared Screenwriter of the 12 months for “Anatomy of a Fall,” and Hayao Miyazaki’s “The Boy and the Heron” received Animated Movie of the 12 months. Notably, Supporting Actor of the 12 months went to Charles Melton, who didn’t obtain an Oscar nomination regardless of robust finishes at a number of early award exhibits.
